Des Moines Family Portraits

Including your pets in your family portraits can be a fun update to your family portraits.

Bringing a new puppy into the house is such an exciting time.  This family wanted to capture the energy and joy of the new addition to their family with professional family portraits.  No kidding - this cute little fur ball looked totally different a few weeks later when I delivered their framed prints!  Capturing the puppy stage before you outgrow it is so precious.  It may not seem that way when you are up multiple times a night for a trip outside, but when you look back on it you will remember the cuddles and the fun.

There are so many reasons to update your family portraits.  In this case, the addition of a new puppy!  Your kids - human or fur baby - can change so much in the course of a year.  Having professional portraits to capture this moment in time before it changes into whatever the next phase brings is so important.

Printing your images to display in your home allows you to look back and remember this time in your family story easily.  Wall displays allow the family memories to become a part of your day-to-day life and not something you reminisce about when you scroll through your camera roll on your phone. Wall art is typically thought to hang in the living room or family room above the fireplace. But you can create smaller groupings for entryways, hallways, stairways, as well as decorate the kids’s room with images that show them the love that surrounds them every day.
